Been 9 days since I last wrote. I guess I get writer's block sometimes, or I just don't have anything to write about.
I went fishing again last week, at Pardee Reservoir. Didn't catch anything, but I watched some HUGE catfish and carp swimming in the reeds. Talked to an interesting lady who's husband is teaching at the CDF academy nearby. Got sunburned, even though it was overcast. I'll go fishing again this coming weekend. Probably gonna head up to the higher Sierras. I hear the lakes are starting to thaw nicely.
My kids and their mom & her boyfriend are moving to a new house. Pretty nice place, actually. 4 bedrooms, large backyard, swimming pool, closer to my apartment and the kid's school. It's a good move. I tried to get some time off this weekend to help them, but we are so short staffed at work, with people asking for days off so far in advance, it makes it hard to get last-minute time off. I'll go over after work and see if I can help some.
Lindsey has a recital today. She's been taking voice/singing lessons from a good friend from our church. She and the teacher are singing a duet, which is really very cute. It's going to put a crimp in some of the house moving activities, but we do what we gotta do.
I saw something about a photo of Saddam Hussein in his skivvies, and really had a hard time working up any interest. I don't see what the big deal is, but... that's why I'm not a newspaper editor. I actually thought it was more interesting reading about the restrictions that The Sun put on OTHER papers for the rights to use their photo. Had to show to entire "The Sun" masthead, and could only transmit it over TV until 8PM British Time, Friday. News and profit make strange bedfellows.
